Stump grinder/tree stump grinder/root grinder with petrol engine (BF100)
The BF100 self-propelled root tiller is a forestry implement. The stump grinder is used to remove tree stumps after tree felling, even in places that are difficult to access. The BF100 is a single-axle cutter with a rigid arm, so that it is guided manually and can therefore be used particularly flexibly. By moving the milling head evenly, the stump is precisely milled away and the tree stumps are reduced to woodchips.
No other machine has as many names as the stump grinder. In northern Germany, for example, this gardening and landscaping machine is also known as a stump grinder. We are also familiar with the terms tree grinder, rootstock grinder, root grinder, stubble grinder and tree root grinder. Have we forgotten a name? But no matter what the BF100 is called, it serves the same purpose.
The stump grinder is powered by a 13.5 hp Briggs&Stratton petrol engine. Briggs&Stratton offers a worldwide maintenance/repair service for the powerful engine at qualified partner workshops. The 12 teeth of the BF100 are characterised by hardness and durability. The diameter of the cutting edge is 260 mm and has a width of 53 mm.
Above ground, the root tiller can handle a stump height of 600 mm. Below ground, root tiller manages a depth of 235 mm. The one-sided drum brake facilitates the work enormously, as this allows a crescent-shaped movement. This shape guarantees efficiency when removing the stump. The own weight of only 110 kg does not require any own effort during the work. Thanks to the handy handle and the 170/45-6 pneumatic tyres, transport is also no problem at all: the space-saving stump grinder can also be transported on a trailer without any problem.
