Special features when selling starter batteries

In connection with the sale of vehicle batteries, we are obliged to charge a deposit of EUR 7.50 including VAT per vehicle battery if you are an end consumer in accordance with Section 10 BattG, if you do not return an old vehicle battery at the time of purchasing a new vehicle battery. The deposit is not included in the purchase price and is shown next to the final price on the item.

If you return an old vehicle battery to us which we carry or have carried in our range as a new battery in accordance with § 9 BattG, we are obliged to take it back free of charge within the framework of the statutory provisions and to refund the deposit amount.
If we have issued a deposit stamp in accordance with § 10 Para. 1 Sentence 3 BattG, the refund of the deposit on return of the used vehicle battery is dependent on the return of the deposit stamp.

The place of return is the address listed in the imprint.

Returning used batteries by post is not permitted due to the Dangerous Goods Ordinance.

Alternatively, used vehicle batteries can also be handed in free of charge at recycling centres. The deposit we charge is not refunded by the public recycling centres. However, you have the option of having the return of the used vehicle battery receipted on the deposit stamp. You will receive the battery deposit back from us on presentation of the receipted deposit stamp.
